Condensate Pumps for Air Conditioning & HVAC Systems UK

Condensate Pump Solutions for HVAC Installers

Condensate pumps are used to collect and discharge condensate from air conditioning and refrigeration systems. They are commonly installed where natural drainage is difficult, helping engineers complete installations cleanly while reducing the risk of unwanted water build-up around indoor units or equipment.

Suitable Applications

Suitable for:

• Air conditioning installations
• Refrigeration systems
• Wall-mounted split systems
• Ceiling cassette and ducted units
• Commercial HVAC maintenance
• Domestic and light commercial cooling systems
• Replacement condensate pump jobs

Choosing the Right Condensate Pump

When selecting a condensate pump, consider the type of system, available installation space, required lift height, discharge route and expected condensate volume. Installers should also check compatibility with the unit layout and ensure the pump is installed in line with the manufacturer’s instructions for safe and reliable operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a condensate pump used for?

A condensate pump is used to remove water produced by air conditioning, refrigeration or HVAC equipment when gravity drainage is not suitable or practical.

When do I need a condensate pump?

You may need a condensate pump when the indoor unit or equipment cannot drain condensate naturally to a suitable waste point, especially where the pipework needs to rise or run across a longer distance.

Who uses condensate pumps?

Condensate pumps are commonly used by air conditioning installers, refrigeration engineers, HVAC contractors and maintenance teams working on commercial and domestic cooling systems.
